Trinity Tourism Pioneer

Born and raised in Trinity, Christine first envisioned restoring many of the village’s dilapidated properties over 30 years ago. She made that dream a reality when she opened the Eriksen Premises in 1993.

Since that time, she has restored numerous other heritage properties of which three are part of the collection of My Trinity Experience Heritage Accommodations and a vital part of the tourism industry in the Trinity area.

After welcoming hundreds of thousands of travellers through her doors for over 30 years, Christine has finally retired but she is delighted to know that her legacy continues.

Trinity is a surreal place.

Breathtaking natural beauty combined with historic atmosphere make one wonder whether they are dreaming or awake. Our room had a fabulous ocean view and an antique charm. Impeccably clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and everyone we dealt with was super friendly and helpful.

Gun hill trail was one of the best hikes in my life.

We feel so lucky to have stayed at Eriksen Premises during our Newfoundland road trip. The inn is full of charm and character, with cozy rooms and stunning views of the harbour — a perfect reflection of the beauty and warmth of Trinity itself.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the breakfasts were delicious, and the entire experience felt like a peaceful escape. It was the perfect home base for exploring the area, and one of the true highlights of our trip.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting this magical part of Newfoundland. We’ll be back!

Lovely comfortable stay in historic town and a chance to see superb performance in local theatre. Lovely heritage building, most comfortable bed we had (of the 9 different places we stayed), plenty of room, fabulous view every time the fog cleared (!)
